Morgan Pressel says she will give half of their income from next week's event in Japan to a relief fund.

Pressel announced Wednesday that she will defend his title in the World Ladies Championship (6) Salonpas Cup in Tsukubamirai, Japan, may 5-8. Pressel, 22, who defeated Sakura Yokomine by three shots to win last year, will donate 50% of its revenue in this year's event to the American Red Cross, helping with relief efforts after the devastating tsunami and earthquakes that hit Japan in March, The World Ladies Championship (6) Salonpas Cup is the first major of the season to Japan LPGA Tour. "It is my hope that the tournament can help to raise the morale of everyone in the region, said Pressel. "I look forward to defending my title and supports relief effort in the areas affected by this terrible disaster."Japan has a special place in my heart and I am honoured to have the opportunity to give back to the country and its people. "Pressel, who won the 2005 U.S. Amateur Championship, finished in a draw for the third year in the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first major of the season on the LPGA tour.
